About Deuce Steel and Hot Rods & Custom Stuff:
Deuce Steel and Hot Rods & Custom stuff are a full service hot rod service, repair and customization facility. Located in Escondido California, in northern San Diego county, we are easily accessible to customers from the San Diego area as well as Orange and Los Angeles counties. We also serve customers from around the country and the rest of the world just as easily, and will make every effort do to so.
Services:
We offer everything that a “Hot Rodder” may need, be it assisting in a home hot rod build, or taking an idea from renderings to the road as a fully built turn-key vehicle.
Frame creation and early Ford parts:
Deuce Steel’s, primary product offerings are our frames for Model A’s and Fords from 1927 to 1932, although they can be adapted for other vehicles such as 1933-34 Fords and some Chevy’s. Our frames are a unique design in the industry and are precision built by hand in our one-of-a-kind frame jig to ensure consistent accuracy. The frames come in several basic designs and can be customized with or without as many options as you may choose. Frame restoration and upgrading is also an option for those customers who may have an original Ford frame and would like it “freshened –up” to the structural and safety standards of modern day.
Fabrication Shop:
We offer full fabrication of all vehicle components from sheet metal, to structural steel on nearly all vehicles. Our range of equipment allows us nearly endless possibilities, if you can dream it up we can make it. MIG and TIG welding of all types from mild steel, to stainless and aluminum are available. Sheet metal tools include English Wheel, Pull-Max, Lennox, bead roller, louver press and Planishing hammer to get just about any job done. As well as sheet metal we also have the capabilities to fabricate precision machined components in one of our 2 Bridgeport Mills and our Lathe.
Parts Department:
Need a specialty part and just can’t seem to find it anywhere? We have a parts department that can advise you on the right part to choose as well as find it for you, we might even have it in stock. We also have quite a few vintage parts from a variety of vehicles and would be happy to sell them depending on the need.
Media Blasting:
A common starting point of any project: getting down to bare metal to find out just what you’re dealing with. Our media blasting department offers the ideal solution to this problem, highly skilled blasters with media tough enough to strip away rust, paint and old body work, but mild enough not to damage old metal.
Hot Rod Repair:
Whether you need disc brakes on a 60’s muscle car, a tune-up on a 30’s hot rod or diagnostics and trouble-shooting on a modern fuel injected street-machine we have the technicians to take care of it. Our facility has the equipment and the trained employees with diverse backgrounds in the industry to solve nearly any problem.
Body Shop:
Our Bodyshop specializes in rust repair, panel replacement, bodywork and paint prep. We also do Insurance repair work on your Hot Rod, Custom or restored vehicle. We have the experience dealing with your Insurance company to make the best of a bad situation. We know how to make your car right.
Paint Shop:
Our Paint facility is one of the finest in southern California, as are our painters. We do everything from insurance repairs and “touch-ups” for street rods to full one-off, show quality paint jobs. Looking to get some flames, scallops, pin-striping, candy or gold leaf? We can do that!
